Tom Hart Dyke – Website design

Plant hunter and television presenter

Tom Hart Dyke first shot to international prominence in the year 2000, when he was kidnapped in the Colombian jungle on a plant hunting expedition that went dangerously wrong.

Tom and his travelling companion, Paul Winder, were kidnapped while trekking through ‘The Darien Gap’, a dangerous place abandoned by all to warring guerrilla factions. Tom and Paul were kidnapped on Tom’s sister’s birthday 16th March 2000 and were held for nine months and released on 16th December 2000. During the nine month ordeal The British Embassy gave the boys up for dead, but Tom and Paul’s parents never gave up hope.

Today Tom tries to stay out of trouble and is a regular on the television circuit, talking about his favourite subject – plants.

Obi Media created a simple website design for Tom Hart Dyke using HTML and CSS. The main focus of the website is to promote Tom and the amazing plants of the World Garden at Lullingstone Castle.

Community Solutions’ head office is in London with regional offices in Yorkshire, the North, South and Scotland.

As investors in community based health, social and local authority services Community Solutions are involved in project development, estate management and funding solutions.

What We Did

We designed and developed a content management system (CMS) website for Community Solutions and 5 partner sites which link between one another.

The site is updated by administrators via the login and data can be drawn from the partner sites into the main site via the bespoke functionality created.

Iconic Lingerie

Lingerie specialists with a high street store in Lee on the Solent, Hampshire. We designed their logo “PS … we love lingerie x” and created their online lingerie shop, an ecommerce content management system (CMS) website.

The online shop features exquisite lingerie – from designer labels to popular brands. It has an exceptional choice of bras, briefs,corsets, swimwear, shape wear and accessories.

What We Did

The logo and website were designed around the owners’ sense of style and fun, lifting it from the everyday into the realms of aspiration.

Whilst the lingerie shop in Hampshire brings in visitors from surrounding towns the website is designed for discerning shoppers throughout the world.

TV Presenter and Wildlife Expert

Wildlife television presenter Nick Baker is best known for his Weird Creatures series (Channel 5/Animal Planet/Granada International). He appears on BBC Springwatch and Autumnwatch and is host on the UK’s first 3D presenter led show Nick Baker’s Beautiful Freaks - broadcast on both Discovery and Sky.

Nick is an author and appears on stage with his Weird Creatures show – a personal journey that has taken him to some of the harshest and most extreme locations on the planet.

We designed and built Nick’s website which includes a WordPress blog and the incorporation of his previous photographic album (CMS).

Naomi is co-presenter of the award winning Saturday morning Live ‘n’ Deadly show for BBC2 and CBBC. She is known for her dare devil challenges – wing-walking, paragliding and caving.

Naomi has worked in children’s TV for 13 years hosting shows for pre-schoolers or adults including working live with children and animals.

Naomi’s website was designed to have clarity and to reflect her achievements.

Bill Oddie is a television presenter, actor, birdwatcher, broadcaster, writer, song-writer, musician, conservationist and much more. He has been called the UK’s favourite wildlife presenter.

The website features Bill’s autobiography “One Flew into the Cuckoo’s Egg”.

the website also contains a wealth of information about feeding and attracting garden birds, as well as the latest offers from Haith’s Bird Foods.

John Suchet hosts Classic FM’s morning show between 9am – 1pm every weekday. It’s a fantastic show with an ever growing following.

John is a television and radio presenter, journalist and author. He has published five books on the life of Beethoven and one moving personal account of his love for his wife Bonnie and his utter despair about her illness.

John is one of the UK’s best known newscasters having presented the ITV News for many years and more recently Five News. He was awarded Royal Television Society’s highest honour of a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2008.

Julie Cooper composes music for television, drama, radio, concerts and dance. Her work includes compositions for the theatre, BBC Radio Drama, film and tv production music.

Julie launched a new album in 2011, ‘CARIAD’, which had its world premieres at St Martin-in-the-Fields, London and New York’s Weill Recital Hall, Carnegie Hall.

In designing Julie’s website, we aimed to capture the essential depth and richness of Julie’s music, using sumptuous colour and high and low tones.

Annette Stickler- Web Design

Bushcraft Expert, Zoologist & Researcher

In her company, Campfire Skills, Annette Stickler teaches bushcraft skills.

Annette was a Senior Zoo Keeper at Marwell Zoological Park for 8 years. She has bred endangered species and was part of a team working to release endangered species into the wild including Golden lion tamarins.

She carries out field research, has climbed mountains, walked glaciers, trekked through rainforest and stayed with tribes of indigenous people in their wilderness homes.

What We Did

The website presents her courses, products and information in an easy to find and read format and is of interest to all bushcraft enthusiasts.
